Halloween 2016

Our last official Halloween with the Murphy's! Since moving to Wilmington we've been trekking back-and-forth to Philly every weekday for work but also for the past two years up to Northeast Philly for trick-or-treating with uncle John and aunt Genine.

for clarification: Molly was Sue Heck from the Middle, Gabriella was Darla from finding Nemo, and Quentin was a ninja. This was the most fun for Halloween that the Hasty kids have ever had! Mom and I talked about going to a trunk or treat with Emily and Danny's school next year. Stay tuned…

Texas Roadhouse in August

This should have been my birthday celebration witht the family. Instead it was another great time to hang out with people I love most. We went to Texas Roadhouse on a Wild West Wednesday where the steaks are $9.99 and we discovered chili fries.

Hasty Children, don't forget to balance spending money to enhance your life with  spending money for pleasure. We have had a great 2016 with many blessings.

May your lives have just enough increase to kee you humble and earnest in prayer.

Love,

SuperDad

First day of school 2016-17

Molly - You had the day off when your siblings had school so we didn't get a first day shot together. Bright side, no more band and you have the same friends to hang out with this year.

Gabriella and Quentin - FFA is never more! You are at the second best Elementary school in the Red Clay School District, Marbrook. Bright side, you are in a place that enables maximum growth socially, emotionally and intellectually.

Love,

SuperDad

New pair of sneakers in June

I finally bought you a pair of sneakers! We are staying in the New Balance family but here you go. You might remember that your friends would pick on you because the toe part used to flap a little but you earned some character, displayed patience and I hope it all payed off. Now id I can remember to buy you a pair in September and one in February we won't repeat the same embarrassing trend.

Until the last drop

So I went into my bathroom to brush my teeth the other day when I saw the toothpaste look like this,

Without a doubt I was proud of all the #HastyKids for a job in efficiency well done.

It's the little things that count!

Dogsitting 060616

So you really don't like to dogsit Marco, do you? At first he used to poop and/or pee when you would watch him and now he bugs you to tears (remember when Mom and I were at prom and when we spoke you were a mess?).

To bring it back to the most recent dogsit ting adventure, you cane home early from school and gave Marco 4 pig ear treats and Katie 1. That should have been a sign right there but it wasn't.

One question, what will you do when there are no more left?

Confused,

SuperDad

Ready and waiting...

So you have done it again. Quentin, you have managed to surprise Mom and I again with both of your uniforms on (game & school) after you took your shower. What were you thinking?

One thing is for sure, you made us both smile and love you even more!

So much to think about, so little to hear...

You don't know it for certain yet but you are going to do great things in this world. I hope you read this when you need to the most.

We had a talk about a week ago while in a Shoprite. You exclaimed that you didn't like the government. In short, I told you research all that the government does before you force your loaded opinion to the masses and you clammed up.

On the ride home you opened back up to let me know that you feel the government allows companies to make money off of the misfortune of other, e.g. obesity, diabetes, cancer, et al. You said that the government should not allow companies to mislead the public for a profit.

You are one of the most kind and thoughtful people I know and you are only 12. While I tried to enlighten you on a few good programs the government runs, the premise of Communism, etc. I should have just listened. As of that talk/venting session I am here to listen to you anytime you would like me to be.

I LOVE YOU!

JDRF 2016

I'm so proud of you Molly! You are so driven and that is proven through this effort to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. I know Vincenzo is too young to see how this will benefit him but knowing his love for our family I am sure he will appreciate it when he understands it when he gets older.

Happy 8th Birthday Gabriella

Days come and go but one thing that I will never forget is the look of pleasure on your face when you're happy. On this 8th birthday we celebrated the day before at Me Moms with your best friend and cousin, Dani Grace.

You and your siblings spent the night before and enjoyed lots of treats and a cake. Uncle John got you a softball bag and is gonna have it embroidered with your name on it. I think this was your most memorable present but as your look back on this you can decide for yourself.

May God bless you with many more birthdays! I love you.

Last Saturday night I...

My boy's first trip to the ER had to come on a Saturday night. A GI (gastrointestinal) bug is what the Doctors think it was. While I administered 5 then 10ML of Gatorade every 5 minutes for 20 then another 40 minutes respectively my boy slowly kept it down and recovered without an IV.

Shoutout to the nausea medicine administered and the amazing DuPont Children's Hospital for a great staff!

Equal love

When it comes to you three, I have equal love! Let me elaborate on what that means to me.

Gabriella called me a few minutes ago to ask in her nicest most polite voice, "can I have a muffin?" I replied, "sure just cut it in half."

She replied, "thank you" and then came an onslaught of emotion and appreciation for the love I have for you three and vice versa.

Welcome Marco

Welcome Marco from Honey Brook, PA. Your new family is grateful to be blessed by your love.

This will serve as a longstanding memory for the HastyKids of getting a puppy and watching it grow up. They will never forget how Marco got car-sick and threw up on Mom's lap. The girls will never forget shopping for his bowls, first toys and name tags. Quentin will never forget teaching him how to climb stairs...

Good graces…

I think I'm back in my son's good graces because he called me this morning to complain about his sister. Additionally you tell me where he was wrong which is another notch on the maturation belt.

Dear Molly and Ella, Quinten is getting older and more mature. Please take note that he need some independence and cares deeply about his feelings and intellectual capabilities.

Love alway,

SuperDad
