6/30/08

This hasn't been an easy day at all.

GH has been irritable for 30 minutes and with constant crying I don't need to say anymore. She is my little girl and I want to know what's up with her. After several phone calls to her doctor over the past 5 weeks, matched with her irregular BM's, I am concerned. For the past week and a half she has experienced discomfort from 3-5pm.

MM was a great help despite the minor jealous setbacks. I forgot to mention this is our first week together; the girls and me. MM goes to camp on Monday 7/7 so this week should be an adventure. All in all the day went pretty quickly as I await my wife's entrance within the hour.

To conclude my day and blog I go back to the second job at 4:45-11:00pm today. Whoopie!

How was your day?

6/17/08

Today was different from yesterday. I have MM home with GH and it is my first day with this hat on. MM's first day at mini irish dance camp was a success despite the late arrival setback. She adjusted fine and might I add that the ladies who run the camp make it easy with their welcoming attitude and kind demeanor.

Yesterday wore me out more than I can explain. When my wife told me she was 10 minutes away I took a cat nap, awoke to her tap, then took a SuperDad's nap for appr. 3 hours. When I woke up I dashed out to get my supply of coffee (from you know where), advertise (incorrectly) this blog to some of my colleagues/partners, and fly back home to see what end-of-the-day Superhero jobs needed to get done before I retired.

I came to find that my SuperWife remade the bottles, had a delicious dinner waiting for me and fed the two SuperKids. It isn't as easy as I thought, being a SuperDad, but I am making the best of it. The main thing I learned today is, I must learn to crawl before I fly with multiple tasks as a SuperDad. See you tomorrow for an update on MM's second mini irish dance camp lesson and GHs' new threads and shrieks.

What have you been up to today?

Today was the first in my SuperDad blog. I successfully got both my daughters up, dressed my older one (MM=4 y/o), fed my younger one (GH=6 wks), took MM to school, changed GH's clothes and diaper, took a few pictures, put her to sleep, fed her a bottle, burped her, put her to sleep, finished my intermittent cleaning of on top of the fridge (the only thing on my honey-do list), started the process of getting MM into a mini irish dance camp, emailed my wife my progress and then started this blog. Not bad for SuperDad's first day at work.
