Wrestling...

It was fun wrestling with Quentin today. We don't do it nearly enough but we took time out to tickle, laugh, roar, crash cars, throw blanket, drag and be drug, flip, clap, sing, hum, and hit each other. And you thought it was just wrestling...

; )

The Little things...

Today I was spending time with my wife in our kitchen as she made dinner and I stared into Molly's iCarly lunchbox. While staring I started to daydream about my children and how they have grown. More specifcally I thought about the little things that make them happy.

Molly loves when we listen to her. She likes to daydream, recant the days events, drawing, coloring, and treats when she is good. Her favorite treats are the Cheddar Lays Chips, ice cream, and Pineapples. I appreciate the little things she provides like her completely controlled laugh when she is in a silly mood...

Gabriella is much more emotional. She loves to cuddle, play, and is suddenly into watching Blues Clues. Her favorite treats are anything that is immediately given as merit. Instant feedback goes miles with her as well as abrupt reprimand. I appreciate the little things she provides by giving the best hugs and when she looks me square in the face to kiss me and tell me she loves me...

Finally Quentin Noel Hasty. This little guy is a ruff-engergetic ball of love. As I got out of my car, when I came home from work today, he and my wife came outside to greet me. He helped me carry my bags in and that I will never forget.

I Love You

I was super surprised to hear Quentin say his first sentence yesterdy. In fact, so surprised that I gave him a taffy!

This excitement is from Quentin's silence. He doesn't speak nearly as often, or use as many words, as his sisters and since the beginning of the summer he is speaking more frequently and increasing his vocabulary. For anyone interested I simply talk to him as often as possible and repeat small words to see if he'll pick them up.

Since the summer began I think he has started saying the following words: go, out, down, mom, you and his first sentence "I Love You!"
